EFAW,EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK HSE CERT TRAINING PACKAGE
This Training Resource includes the HSE Approved 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate Course, even though it can only be delivered by an approved HSE instructor, it gives excellent information for any person wanting to gain knowledge before going on the course, and also acts as a refresher to keep up to date with First Aid.
As of October the 1st 2009, it has become law that only suitably qualified instructors can deliver the Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, previously known as the Appointed Person's Certificate. This means that only those persons approved by the Health and Safety Executive can deliver the syllabus, training and certification.
Should an employer's First Aid needs assessment highlight that employees with the full First Aid at Work certificate is not necessary, the minimum requirement is for an employer to appoint a person to take charge of all First Aid arrangements. This includes regular checks of First Aid equipment and facilities and calling the emergency services when required. Arrangements should be in place so that an appointed person is available at all times when people are at work.
